Dr. Juan José Daboub, Ph.D., is the President of HUGE (Honduras, USA, Guatemala, El Salvador) Business and Investment Council; Chairman of The Daboub Partnership; Vice-Chairman of Dorado Group; and Founding CEO of the Global Adaptation Institute. He has taught at Princeton University and is a member of several Boards of Directors of both public and private businesses and non-for-profits in the USA, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America, including two SPACs and a Fortune 500 company.

Between 1992-2004, he served under different capacities three consecutive Governments in El Salvador without belonging to any political party, including as President of the Electric Utilities. He restructured and privatized El Salvador’s state-owned telephone company and was concurrently Minister of Finance and Chief of Staff to the President of El Salvador, where he coordinated several reforms that helped El Salvador achieve investment grade rating and dollarizing the Economy. From 2006 to 2010 he was Managing Director of the World Bank Group, with oversight functions of 110 countries in Africa, the Middle East, East Asia, and Latin America. He led his family-owned businesses in industry, commerce, and services for over two decades.

Dr. Daboub holds a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and a PhD in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University. He is married and has four children and lives in the US.
