Bobita joined the Mobile Money Guyana (MMG) team in 2019 as General Manager and Director. At the
helm of the company she is responsible for growing its base of users and implementing successful
partnerships with strategic stakeholders. She charts the mission of the company and has steadfastly
grown its adoption all across Guyana. Bobita is a qualified and experienced professional in the field of Mobile and Electronic Payments, having held leadership positions in international remittances, electronic payments, anti-money laundering compliance and non-bank financial services industries. Over the span of her career, Bobita has pioneered several projects in market development and penetration and new and emerging markets.

With a passion for women’s empowerment and financial independence, Bobita has worked closely over
the past 2 years with the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women to equip women entrepreneurs in Guyana
with the knowledge and technology to transform their businesses from largely cash based to digital. She
has mentored several young women in sound business practices and growth strategies. Bobita’s time is shared with her team at MMG, her family and friends, mentoring young professionals and the pursuit of healthy lifestyles. She has a firm appreciation and knowledge base of electronic and mobile payments operating in a regulatory compliant manner and keeps up to date with trends in this emerging and exciting sector.

Bobita holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Guyana and is a
Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist with experience locally, regionally and internationally in
regulatory compliance.
