Our food system is in crisis. We need to rethink conventional extractive value chains to ones which are more sustainable, healthy and resilient for both people and planet, and Regenerative Agriculture may provide the key to this. The transition to Regenerative Agriculture can only be achieved by prioritising systemic, regenerative approaches in a way that keeps farmers front and centre and fosters collaboration between actors across the whole food system. In Europe, new types of innovative, cross-value chain sourcing models are being developed in landscapes where multiple stakeholders have mutual interests and complimentary sourcing needs. So, how does cross-value chain collaboration work to scale Regenerative Agriculture? And can landscape interventions currently being trialled in Europe be applied to other regions in desperate need of revised food systems?
