Description

In recent history, tremendous gains have been achieved in reducing global child mortality. But we cannot celebrate these gains without also confronting the reality that preventable child deaths still remain all too prevalent in many places around the world, with stark disparities between high- and low-income countries. Drawing upon the legacy of Jim Grant, former Executive Director of UNICEF from 1980 to 1995, and his child survival revolution, this conversation will highlight the advancements made in child survival, identify the most effective, evidence-based solutions that will drive further progress, and emphasize the collective action it will take to foster a world where more children survive and thrive.
