Allison, a senior executive with more than 15 years of cross-sector experience advancing public health and business objectives, has a passion for addressing global health crises through public-private partnerships.
Allison is skilled in articulating the societal value of corporate philanthropy, and more specifically how companies can best deploy their resources to help solve complex health challenges. She has deep expertise in architecting and standing up corporate social impact divisions and foundations as well as in managing multi-million-dollar philanthropic portfolios for those organizations.
In Allison’s tenure at Merck, she has aligned the company’s corporate giving strategy to its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) priorities, with a focus on expanding global access to health. She oversees multiple programs, including cash and product donations and employee engagement, that incorporate social solutions with health care strategies to drive greater health equity.
Allison oversees Merck’s response to global humanitarian crises, including the conflict in Ukraine, the devastating earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria and the deadly wildfires in Maui. She sits on the World Health Organization Foundation’s Health Emergencies Alliance.
Allison has authored several publications on public health strategies and has lectured at Columbia University, where she received her Ph.D. in Public Health and Political Science and her M.A. in Sociomedical Sciences. She currently resides in Colorado with her family.
