Speaker Bio
Charles T. Moran — a native of Los Angeles — is rounding out the 5th year of his tenure leading Log Cabin Republicans. A native of Los Angeles, his professional background was extensively centered in political and non-profit fundraising consulting, and rapidly expanded to include communications and organizational management. He holds a BA in Politics from Occidental College and a Masters of Public Policy from Pepperdine University.
President Donald J. Trump's campaign tapped Charles to serve as the national LGBTQ surrogate in the 2016 presidential campaign, and he served as a Co-Chairman of the Trump PRIDE coalition, the first-ever official LGBT coalition for a Republican Presidential campaign in the 2020 campaign, where he also served as the Managing Director for Log Cabin Republicans and the Liberty Education Forum. In that role, Charles raised over .5M to conduct the first-ever LGBTQ advocacy, education and awareness campaign for the Republican Party in history, with the result of more than doubling the LGBTQ turnout for President Trump from 2016 to 2020.
As president of Log Cabin Republicans and the Log Cabin Institute, Charles has led the organization through the turbulent interim since the last presidential election, where the organization continued to modernize and flourish. He has worked to take advantage of strategic opportunities in fundraising and communications, while managing an increasingly large group of stakeholders. Charles is a regular commentator on current events and public policy on several domestic and international cable news networks and is working hard to increase LCR's profile, domestically and abroad.
