Nick has 15 years of experience working at the intersection of technology, philanthropy, and the nonprofit sector. At the Patrick J. McGovern Foundation, Nick leads a team of grantmakers, technologists, and program leads who advance AI-, and data-driven solutions to global challenges through hypothesis-driven grantmaking, AI product development, nonprofit capacity building, and storytelling.
Before he joined PJMF, Nick was a Principal and Climate Lead at Google.org, where he was responsible for a M portfolio focused on AI solutions to climate change. He also led a global team responsible for Google’s employee volunteering programs and launched the Google.org Fellowship, which places Google engineers in residence with leading nonprofits.
Nick is a board member at Path Home, and in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nick founded the Portland chapter of Frontline Foods, which raised more than 0K in cash relief for local restaurants. Nick earned a bachelor's from Columbia University and an MBA with honors from the Berkeley-Haas School of Business.
