Description
Currently, too many obstacles exist between society and the resources necessary to resolve the climate crisis. Earlier this year, members of the International Copper Association (ICA) approved the Pathway to Net Zero, a plan outlining the copper industry’s ambition to collectively reach net zero in Scope 1 and 2 by 2050. Yet, concerns are on the rise of the world’s limited amount of copper and other critical minerals, jeopardizing an energy transition. This session, in partnership with ICA, questions the justification of such concern, and explores solutions to mitigate this perceived risk.
The International Copper Association is a 2023 Concordia Annual Summit Lead Programming Partner.
