George Logothetis is Chairman and CEO of the Libra Group, an international business group comprising 30 subsidiaries operating across six continents. The group is focused on shipping, aviation, real estate, hospitality and renewable energy as well as selected diversified investments.
George joined his family’s shipping company in 1993, becoming CEO in 1994 at the age of 19. In the ensuing years he presided over the company’s transformation from three vessels into a fleet of 55 before creating the Libra Group in 2003.
 The group undertakes numerous educational and philanthropic initiatives globally including The Hellenic Entrepreneurship Award, created by Libra with a €7 million commitment to provide funding and mentoring for start-up businesses in Greece. Among the group’s educational initiatives is the Libra Internship Program which works with seven global partners to provide up to 100 young people each year with internships at the Libra Group and its subsidiaries around the world. 
George and his wife, Nitzia, founded the Seleni Institute, a New York-based non-profit organization that addresses women’s reproductive and maternal mental health. George and Nitzia have three children and live in New York.
