Eda Selebatso is a certified coach, speaker and trainer with the Maxwell Leadership Team. She has been coached by Bob Proctor and continues her personal development through coaching and mentorship by other global authorities. Eda is a seasoned transformational leader and rare disease advocate whose work is recognised globally. She transitioned from a corporate career after about two decades of service into entrepreneurship and philanthropy. Her corporate career span across different sectors notably, conservation, education, health and mining. She is the founder and CEO of Eagles’ Reach. Eda is also the founder and chairperson of Botswana organisation for Rare Diseases (BORDIS). She serves in several global bodies and committees like Rare Disease International (RDI), International Rare Disease Research Consortium (IRDiRC), International Gaucher Alliance (IGA), International MPS Network (IMPSN) and UN NGO committee for Rare Diseases. As a transformational leader she continues to work on different programs that address health inequities and social injustice that rare disease patients and their families are faced with daily.
She is an EMBA candidate, holds a PgD in Project Management and a BSc in Biology and Chemistry. She intentionally diverted from the science profession to ensure her growth is aligned with her passion and purpose. Her professional skills and experience together with her personal story as a mother to two children with rare diseases positions her well to articulate issues of policy, patient advocacy, SDG and sustainable development.
