Telma Ortiz Rocasolano is an economist. After graduating from Barcelona University, she obtained a postgraduate in International Economics and a Masters in Business Administration and Marketing between Rome, Mexico and Barcelona.

Formerly a professional ballet dancer, Telma spent more than a decade working frontline in humanitarian relief projects for large NGO’s and government organisations, including the Spanish Red Cross, MSF, the United Nations and AECID. She spearheaded a variety of projects, managing financial planning, running point with management and navigating operations in crisis situations across Africa, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and South America. Her more recent roles include working as the Deputy Director of International Relations in Barcelona City Council and promoting and developing the work of two leading business schools, ESERP Business and Law School in Spain and CEIBS (across China, Ghana and Switzerland). She has also worked with domestic food companies on change initiatives within their sector.

Telma has a highly creative, innovative and international mindset. She is widely travelled, through which she has developed great cultural awareness and interpersonal skills. She is a talented multi-linguist, speaking fluent Spanish, Catalan, French, English, Italian, and Portuguese, together with some Arabic.

Telma is passionate about humanitarian work and social responsibility. She creates rapports easily and build strong lasting and loyal relationships.
