Governor Kathy Hochul is the 57th and first female Governor of New York. She began her career in public service on her local Town Board before becoming Erie County Clerk, a Member of Congress and Lieutenant Governor. Since being sworn into office in 2021, Governor Hochul has focused on making New York more affordable, more livable and safer -- including through bold action to address the housing crisis, meaningful support for public transit, and continuing New York's nation-leading efforts to address the climate crisis.
