May was appointed as the UAE Youth Delegate to the United Nations for its 76th Assembly. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and double minors in Social Research & Public Policy, and Environmental Studies. Currently, May is a member of the Strategic Partnerships team at the Abu Dhabi Investment Office.

May had the honor of engaging in multiple speaking opportunities. Her past experiences include closing the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Summit in 2022 with H.E. Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, highlighting the perspective of the next generation. She was invited to moderate two sessions at the Youth 4 Sustainability Forum during the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week in 2022 and 2023 discussing investors perspective on ESG and energy transition respectively. May was pleased to moderate a Youth Circle in the Presence of HE Shamma Al Mazroeui and HE President Hakainde Hichilema on the power of social media in youth’s political participation at the youth pavilion during Expo 2020 Dubai. Most recently, she took part of the inauguration of the Abrahamic Family House with a panel discussion focused on empowering youth through intercultural dialogue.

May have always made sure to seize all opportunities that would benefit her and help her progress new sets of experiences and skills. She interned at the UAE’s Consulate in NYC. Through her role in the Public Diplomacy team, May worked hard to promote UAE’s agendas and visions to further strengthen the UAE-US relations beyond politics means. Additionally, her previous internship at the Sustainability team in Etihad Airways, where she got to learn about sustainability projects domestically and internationally. May was a member of The Cultural Engagement Program by NYUAD’s Student Life Department, giving her the change to engage with NYUAD’s diverse student body of more than 160 nationalities and promote the UAE’s culture in return.

May is pleased to be a part of the first cohort of the ‘Next Generation Abu Dhabi’ Program that aimed to upskill Emirati Youth. She is also an alumna of the Future Sustainability Leaders (FSL) Program by Masdar, and led her team to victory and winning the first place in the Ecothon competition on Energy Consumption. Last but no least, May successfully completed the Advanced Level of the Forward Program by McKinsey and Co.
