Matthew Wells is president and CEO of One Region, a civic coalition of chief executives, philanthropic foundations, family offices, universities, and local investors driving growth and transformation across the Greater South Shore of Lake Michigan—a 90-mile emerging corridor of economic opportunity stretching from Chicago to South Bend. Under his leadership, One Region has positioned the corridor as a rising national destination for investment and innovation, including its role at the center of the emergent Great Lakes Quantum Coast, where advanced technology, industry, and talent intersect.

Mr. Wells is engaged in national and international thought-leadership and investment networks, including the American Enterprise Institute’s Leadership Network, the Aspen Institute, the U.S. Council on Competitiveness, the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy, and Angeles Investors. Originally a classically trained opera singer, he holds degrees from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music and Valparaiso University.
