Mayor Pro Tem Moreno has been committed to serving people his entire life, from his family’s small
business to working with policy to improve the quality of life for the residents of Dallas. He’s dedicated
to all neighborhoods throughout the district, addressing issues from infrastructure to housing to public
safety to economic development.

Mayor Pro Tem Jesse Moreno is a third-generation resident of District 2; he and his wife, who are lifelong residents, are now raising their daughter in the same neighborhood he grew up in. Mayor ProTem Moreno attended various schools in East Dallas and graduated from the famous Woodrow Wilson High School. Mayor Pro Tem Moreno began his career in public service as a site manager for the Boys and Girls Club, overseeing many aspects of team building and character development for children in the program. Following his service with the Boys and Girls Club, he had served as the Vice President for the Dallas Park and Recreation Board, where he worked for the betterment of the District 2 community for more than seven years.

Now, as the Council Member representing District 2 and the Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Dallas, he has the privilege of representing his life-long community and the City of Dallas to the nation. His current committee assignments, including serving as Chair of the Council’s Economic Development Committee, permit him to promote economic growth and prosperity in the City of Dallas with his colleagues.

Mayor Pro Tem Moreno has maintained a consistent commitment to serving people his entire life, from his family’s small business to working with policy at the City of Dallas, by improving the quality of life for the residents of Dallas.
