Speaker Bio
Eliot is the Director of Sustainable Business & Innovation at the World Resources Institute (WRI). He manages research on innovative business solutions to global environmental challenges. His work focuses on opportunities for companies to tackle urgent sustainability issues, such as the implications of accelerating resource consumption and equity in supply chains—the “elephants in the boardroom”. He has partnered with Fortune 500 companies to develop, test, and refine practical tools and guidance to advance disruptive new business models, internal carbon pricing, climate policy lobbying, clean energy investment, and thought leadership on the water-energy nexus.

Prior WRI, Eliot worked at Eastern Research Group as a consultant to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. There, he helped develop and execute a variety of clean energy and water efficiency initiatives, including EPA’s energy and environmental management systems and WaterSense program.

Eliot holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Science and Policy from Johns Hopkins University, and Bachelors degrees in Environmental Science and Business from the University of San Francisco, where he was a Goldwater Scholar.
