Description

Why do some countries' health systems excel and why does the U.S. falter?  In this session, we'll dive into the implications of a new comparative analysis of health care performance across 10 high-income countries looking at: access to care, care process, administrative efficiency, equity, and health care outcomes. Using data from the Commonwealth Fund, OECD, and WHO, we'll highlight why countries like the Netherlands and Australia consistently outperform others, while the highest spending country, the United States ranks the lowest of all. What can we learn from the advancements others have made to empower communities and reduce inequities?  What are the innovative and equitable healthcare practices and policies that will advance health equity in the U.S. and around the world?
