Sergio Londoño joined The Coca-Cola Company in May 2021. In 2023, he was appointed Vice President of Public Affairs, Communication, and Sustainability at Coca-Cola Latin America, becoming one of the youngest to reach a regional leadership position. Sergio has a solid background as a political scientist and internationalist from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, in addition to having specializations in Government and Public Management from EAN University and Columbia University. He also has extensive experience in the public sector.
He is originally from Colombia. Prior to his arrival at the Coca-Cola Company, he served as an advisor to former Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos and as Director of the Presidential Agency for Cooperation of Colombia. Sergio became the first openly gay mayor of his hometown of Cartagena.
Outside of government, he has been Director of the COMPAZ Foundation, a non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting peace, poverty reduction, and environmental conservation.
At Coca-Cola, Sergio has not only demonstrated his strong leadership but also his unwavering commitment to promoting inclusion and sustainability. His efforts have been instrumental in aligning the company's sustainable agenda with the objectives of the Public Affairs, Communication and Sustainability operation, thereby fostering a more inclusive and sustainable corporate culture.
