Hambardzum Matevosyan was born on 18 November 1992 in Gyumri. A Graduate in Cooperation and Conflict Management, he joined the Cabinet of the Government of Armenia in 2018, in which he has served as the Governor of Armavir Marz (2018-2021), as Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia (2021-2022), and as Chief Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia (2023-2025) among other posts. Since July 16, 2025 is appointed as the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Armenia.
