Eduardo Sanz Lovatón, current Director General of Customs of the Dominican Republic (DGA), born in Santo Domingo, D.R. (1977), is a lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, and a masters graduate in Private International Law from the Center for Strategic and Diplomatic Studies in Paris, France.

Professionally, he has practiced law in private firms and ventured into the public sector since he was young. In 2020 he was political director in the presidential campaign of Luis Abinader and that of Mayor Carolina Mejía. Sanz Lovatón is one of the founders of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) and its current National Secretary of Finance.

On August 17, 2020, he assumed management of the DGA and has led the important transformation of the Dominican Republic into the logistics hub of Latin America, promoting efficient and transparent management, obtaining the highest collection record in the history of the institution.

His leadership has transcended the social field with the Fundación YA, a project that offers help and comprehensive solutions, through sports, to close the inequality gap in the Dominican Republic and provide opportunities for a better future.

He has been a columnist for the newspapers Listín Diario, El Caribe and Hoy. He is the author of the book Tales from Paris.
