Sebastián Navarro, is the first Secretary General of the coalition of "Capital Cities of the Americas facing Climate Change", CC35, whose work is to strengthen the climate integration of the 35 governments in the hemisphere through local diplomacy.

It has created the process of the "Summit of Mayors against the Climate Crisis" in Latin America (Argentina, Uruguay and Ecuador) with the support of the European Union. Promoted the "Parlamento Federal del Clima" to amplify the voice of the Provinces in Argentina as a unique model of replication towards COP24.

He has been elected in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 as one of the 100 most influential Latinos on the planet committed to climate action. He was also recognized in 2021 by the City of Miami Beach for his international work on the climate crisis.

He has promoted diplomacy between the cities of Santiago (Chile) and Glasgow (Scotland) strengthening the Santiago-Glasgow Route that consolidates the guiding axes of the COP25 to COP26 defined by LGMA and of which he was elected the Global Envoy of the same, presenting several subnational milestones in Glasgow;

-He has been part of the financial structuring under the lead of R20, Arnold Schwarzenegger's climate organization, the first Global Subnational Climate Fund of 750M that has the approval of the Green Climate Fund, thus promoting a new financial architecture to comply with the Paris Agreement involving private capital.

-Leads the "Alcaldes por el Clima" initiative that has coordinated the agreements for the Dominican Republic to be the first and only country on the planet with all the commitments of carbon neutrality by 2050 of its 158 local governments.

He leads from the CC35 a new global program of monitoring and democratization of protected areas globally and complementarily a carbon program called GREEN+ based on the latest satellite technology to strengthen the Montreal Pact of 30% protection by 2030 that will generate genuine resources, creating a virtuous circle between the increase of incentives for Forest Conservation and Urban Decarbonization. He has spearheaded the launch of Climate Week Miami to support a week of cross-cutting discussions and to showcase proven solutions from Miami-Dade and the State of Florida to the world and from the world's proven policies to Miami. It is also a mechanism to strengthen dialogue with Latin America and the Caribbean.
