Una May Gordon is a senior climate change & development professional with over 40 years of experience successfully intersecting policy formulation and development programmes in agribusiness, natural resources management, climate change adaptation and mitigation.
For six years & up to July 2022 she served as the Principal Director, Climate Change for the Government of Jamaica Ministry of Economic Growth & Job Creation where she was responsible for building out Jamaicas’ climate change agenda, developing a shared vision among all stakeholders for the implementation of sustainable & transformative actions. She is credited with leading efforts to Jamaicas ratification of the Paris Agreement, completion & submission of the enhanced NDC, the 3rd National Communication & Jamaica’s’ Adaptation Communication among others.
She currently works as an independent expert focusing on increasing access to climate finance, promoting climate governance and providing needed support to governments, civil society & the private sector across the Caribbean region & beyond.
