Recent interest and innovation surrounding the presence of AI is becoming increasingly present. The sheer impact that AI will have on all aspects of our society is still being revealed. While it is important to recognize the positive potential these technological advancements will have on the world, it is imperative to remain cautious of the possible challenges as well. As technology continues to develop, the spread of misinformation has continued to rise. Considering the relationship between technology and trust, should restrictions be placed on AI to confine the uptick in misinformation? What impact has AI had on the escalation of misinformation regarding current events – such as the conflict between Russia and Ukraine? Does AI have the ability to reverse the vast amounts of misinformation circulating amongst our societies today, and right some of the wrongs that have occurred as a result?
