Description

For decades the climate change discussion has centered around emissions, but with extreme weather events at record levels globally, adaptation needs to be an equal part of the conversation. Climate change is impacting communities with flooding, heat waves, drought and the health impacts these events bring, with a disproportionate impact on the most vulnerable populations—90% of climate-caused deaths to date have occurred in low- and middle-income countries, yet 70% of countries report having an insufficient budget to address the impacts of climate change. The time is now to come together to protect those most at risk. Join International Medical Corps for a discussion about the climate’s impact on health and how we can put the world’s most vulnerable communities at the forefront of climate innovation.

The International Medical Corps is a 2023 Concordia Annual Summit Patron Programming Partner.
