Alex Wallace is a highly accomplished media and content executive. Her expertise spans digital transformation, consumer content and content marketing, helping organizations strategically craft/shape their internal and external messaging, ecommerce, product development, subscriptions, crisis and change management, DEI and leading large organizations. She most recently ran the media operations at Yahoo!, the third largest digital media property in the US, across 13 markets globally, and oversaw the content teams of Yahoo News, Sports, Entertainment, Finance and Life as well as TechCrunch, Autoblog, Engadget, In the Know and MAKERS. She was in charge of Tumblr and Huffpost before they were sold. Previously she was Senior Vice President of NBC News and Executive in Charge of Today and Meet the Press and the Executive Producer of Nightly News. She has consulted for a range of companies including Google, Hint and The Wall Street Journal. She has deep international expertise, having been a Media Leader at The World Economic Forum for the past several years and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. An experienced board member, Alex is currently Chair of the Media and Civic Engagement Committee and on the Executive Committee of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, is Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee of the Retro Report, and was on the Board of StudioNow and the Executive Committee of the Council of Urban Professionals as well as on a number of educational boards. She has been honored with 11 Emmy Awards, 2 Dupont Awards, a Gracie Award and a Peabody Award, as well as a John Jay Award for distinguished professional achievement from the Columbia College Alumni Association, for which she is a member of the Board of Directors.
