Description

The path toward a healthier and more sustainable world requires relentless innovation, credibility, transparent reporting and implementation and decarbonization advocacy. Validated science-based targets and tangible progress are no longer a nice-to-have – they are a necessity. The heating and cooling of buildings accounts for 15% of global emissions, stemming primarily from fossil fuel-based heating. To achieve global climate goals, the issue must - and can - be addressed at scale, with collective action taken to avoid the most catastrophic impacts of climate change. During this dialogue, hear from Dave Regnery, Chair and CEO of Trane Technologies, and Avipsa Mahapatra, Climate Campaign Lead for the Environmental Investigative Agency, on credibly accelerating decarbonization, the innovations being leveraged today – including thermal storage source heat pump systems that use ice to heat – the critical need for attracting and developing equitable, skilled talent to apply sustainable innovation, and how market education and policy can drive adoption.

Trane is a 2023 Concordia Annual Summit Patron Programming Sponsor.
