Miguel Achury is a Consultant in Inclusion and Sustainable Finance with 29 years of experience in the financial sector and 10 years as an independent consulting, in financial, microfinance and solidarity economy entities, in LATAM.

He has led processes and projects in issues of strategic planning, innovation, digital transformation, strategic implementation, risk management, auditing, operations, human talent management and sustainability, in national and multinational financial and microfinance entities.

He is an expert in the structuring and management of projects with international cooperation organizations, achieving significant economic, social and environmental impacts, in the microfinance and popular and solidarity economy sectors. Miguel is also an expert in structuring innovative projects in government entities, financial institutions and the private sector that incorporate sustainable finance and Nature-based solutions, among their lines of action, including the implementation of sustainability management systems in microfinance entities and in the management of corporate development projects, incorporating social, economic and environmental issues.

Miguel has participated and led the creation, transformation and merger of various financial and microfinance entities and he has been a member of boards of directors in banking, insurance, non-profit and trade union entities in Colombia. Throughout his professional career, he has developed a constant union activity, with the purpose of contributing to the sustainable development of microfinance in LATAM.
