Description

The United Kingdom stands at a critical juncture, reshaping its economic and trade relationships while reaffirming its position as a global economic leader. In a more fragmented geopolitical world, it's time for the UK and EU to reset their relationship and seek closer alignment - going beyond the narrow positions that characterized the Brexit debate. The UK is pushing hard to stimulate growth, invest in digital ecosystems, and revitalize public services, while the EU too is implementing structural reforms to adapt towards innovation and mitigate external trade pressures. But what should this reset look like, and where should the focus be? This session will discuss how, by integrating strategic priorities in energy, defense, and innovation we can create a practical and politically viable roadmap for resilient and prosperous UK-EU ties.
