Olivia White, Senior Partner and Director of the McKinsey Global Institute, McKinsey & Company
Senior Partner at McKinsey and Director of the McKinsey Global Institute (MGI), the company's business and economic research arm. Olivia advises leading financial institutions and other global companies on issues related to strategy, growth, trade, risk and resilience. Olivia's research spans a variety of global trends, including topics related to resilience, global flows and value chains, financial markets, technology and innovation, productivity, labor markets and inclusive growth, focused more recently in Africa and Latin America. She has led major efforts in open data for finance, digital financial infrastructure, and digital ID. She has also worked extensively on financial and digital inclusion in both developed and emerging markets. Prior joining McKinsey, Olivia was a Pappalardo Fellow in physics at MIT, where she conducted research in both physics and neuroscience. She holds a PhD in Physics from Harvard University; a MSC in Mathematics from Oxford University, where she was a Rhodes Scholar; and bachelor's degrees in Physics and Mathematics from Stanford.
