Description

Ongoing global crises have reversed years of progress toward a world free of tuberculosis (TB), which is biologically feasible yet remains amongst the world’s top infectious killers. With just seven years to achieve our goal of eradication by 2030, what got us to this point, will not get us where we need to go. Increased financing for innovation in TB services will be essential to ending the global epidemic, and this requires collaboration across industries and sectors, including political commitment across the globe, and the engagement of communities and civil society organizations. This panel convenes Ministers of Health and Finance, and experts in the field, to reflect on novel opportunities to modernize our approach to addressing the infectious disease killer, particularly, how to optimally and sustainably introduce, adopt, and scale up current and future TB innovations.
