Description

With the 80th anniversary of WWII, it is important to remember the impact of UK-US joint exercises, and how such collaboration can serve as a driver for global cooperation.  This discussion, involving Sandhurst and West Point cadets, will explore what the West Point Military Academy and the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst can teach us about leadership with character and selfless sacrifice.

How can the wider society benefit from the values being taught at the military academies? How should "leadership" be redefined? The West Point cadet code explicitly says a cadet cannot lie, cheat, or steal--or tolerate anyone who does. Is that outdated in today's hyper-cynical world? West Point hosts the Sandhurst competition every year, featuring military teams from across the globe. How can efforts like this build lasting relationships?
